Book at Bedtime + German publication + NYT Mag essay

Saint Mazie has been selected to be a Book at Bedtime this summer on BBC Radio 4! Also the wonderful publisher of The Middlesteins, Schöffling & Co., will also be publishing Saint Mazie in 2016. And finally, check out Jami’s latest essay in The New York Times Magazine: Track Changes.

Early Buzz for Saint Mazie

Saint Mazie made a few lists in early 2015: The Millions’ The Great 2015 Book Preview & Buzzfeed’s 27 Of The Most Exciting New Books Of 2015. Saint Mazie will be out in June 2015 in both the US and the UK.

New essays online in New York, The Guardian, and Vogue

After finishing Saint Mazie (June 2015), Jami published some new essays and short fiction. Read about lying about being a psychic in New York, living in New Orleans for the winter in The Guardian, and the death of the love letter in Vogue. Bonus short fiction: “Cafe de la Esquina” in The Morning News.

St. Francis College Literary Prize and Fall Events

Jami has been selected to be on the short list for the St. Francis College Literary Prize, an award for mid-career authors. Also, the complete list of fall events has been updated, including a number of Chicago events in support of the Spertus Institute’s One Book One Community program for The Middlesteins.

Paperback Launch and Oprah.com Essay

New Foreign Sales & Essay in NYT Magazine

The Midds has now been sold in Germany, Turkey, Taiwan, Russia, Italy, France, and The Netherlands, and was published earlier this year in the UK! And check out Jami’s contribution to the NYT Magazine’s Lives column this week: The Unlikely Chef.

L.A. Times Book Prize for Fiction
